ABOUT 9TH INTRACOM

THEME : INTEGRATED APPROACH TOWARDS HEALTHY AGEING

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is projected that 1 in 5 individuals would be 60 years or older by 2050. As the ageing population blooms in size, we face new challenges in empowering and caring for the aged. Studies have shown that Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) is effective in strengthening the body’s defense and healing abilities while encouraging a holistic approach towards good health practices, self-care and empowerment. This conference therefore aims to provide a suitable platform and opportunity for participants from various walks of life to explore an integrated approach towards healthy ageing in the era of the Silver Tsunami.

  OBJECTIVES

To promote healthy ageing via integrated approaches and holistic management of health

To empower the nation and community to take a more proactive role in healthy ageing

To share knowledge and experiences on issues regarding integrated healthcare towards healthy ageing

To provide networking opportunities between healthcare professionals, NGOs and government bodies with similar interest in the integrated approach towards healthy ageing
